@gavin - MM v0.9 has an after_create hook (not currently called that but I think that's probably a better name than I've got now) as I needed to include different modules into my Magic Models. So that should solve your problem without needing to generated the code into files.

0.9 should be out soon for your happiness. It also reintroduces dynamic class creation which I needed for a schema of 200+ tables.

But, one day I will write a MM generator too :)

Cheers

Hey Dr. N

How about a method of using Dr Nic's Magic Models Technology (c) to generate source with the relationships and validations? I'll tell you why: I'm trying to build on top of Magic Models, but I need to add some after_create stuff and custom searching thingies to my models. But it seems that it is Dr Nic's or doing_it_completely_by_hand .... :P It would rock if I could use MM to pull all the guff from the schema and then let me build on top of that.

Hmm. how about a MM generator or rake task efforty? :)
