An Interview with Dr Nic

Posted by Dr Nic on April 17, 2007

Do you want answers to questions like:

  • What do you think about the current Twitter vs DHH discussion?
  • How did you come by with the Magic Model solution?
  • What does the New Gem Generator actually do?
  • Will we see ‘Rails Distros’ in the long run?
  • Where are you from? What’s your current day job, is it Rails related? And what’s your history with Rails?
  • Did you get your free t-shirt?

Brazilian Fabio Akita - author of the first Brazilian book on Ruby on Rails also wanted to know, so he asked.

Thanks to my friend Carlos Eduardo for teeing it up.

    Great interview!

If only it were possible to record the audio of a Skype conversation like that…

My eyes perked when you mentioned you are working on a billing project for tele2 and worked with Accenture in the past. I am only familiar with the Kenan FX billing system, having involved in SI work for two Malaysian telcos. So if tele2 indeed was using this, I could see the need to scratch the itch to connect to multiple Kenan Customer databases :)

Akita has, apparently, rearranged his site - quick search reveals that the interview is now at http://www.akitaonrails.com/2007/4/16/chatting-with-dr-nic

I enjoyed reading it, and I’m really enjoying the new RoR Textmate bundle. Thanks for everything!
